The McIntosh MA7200 is a solid-state integrated amplifier delivering 200 watts per channel into 2, 4 or 8 ohms. The constant power across all three impedances comes from McIntosh Autoformer outputs, which match the amplifier to the loudspeaker rather than letting power fall away as the load impedance drops. Total harmonic distortion is held to 0.005% with 2 dB of dynamic headroom, and Monogrammed Heatsinks connected to high-current output transistors mean the amplifier performs from switch-on without a warm-up period.

Fifteen inputs cover one balanced and five unbalanced analogue, separate moving coil and moving magnet phono stages, two coaxial, two optical, USB, an MCT input for McIntosh SACD transports, and HDMI ARC for television audio. The factory-installed DA2 digital module handles PCM to 32-bit/384 kHz, DSD to DSD512 and DXD to 384 kHz, and is replaceable by future modules. A high-drive headphone amplifier with HXD crossfeed, Home Theater PassThru, Power Guard, Sentry Monitor and the McIntosh Blue watt meters complete the specification.

The MA7200 is the solid-state route into McIntosh integrated amplification, without the tube maintenance of the MA252 or MA12000 but with the same Autoformer output stage.
