The Primare DD35 is a dedicated full-size CD transport from Sweden's Primare 35 Series. It uses a TEAC CD-5020A-AT low-resonance drive mechanism paired with an ultra low noise digital output stage that has its own discrete power supply, delivering the cleanest possible digital signal via RCA coaxial and Toslink optical outputs.

Like the DD15 in the 15 Series, the DD35 contains no internal DAC or analogue output stage. Every aspect of the chassis, power supply layout, and circuit design is dedicated to the single task of reading a disc and outputting a jitter-free digital signal. The discrete power supply for the output stage is a step beyond the DD15, reflecting the 35 Series approach of giving each circuit its own optimised supply. The DD35 is designed primarily as the disc transport partner for the PRE35, I35, and I25 modular amplifiers and preamplifiers, all of which can accept the DM36 DAC module internally. Paired with an I35 Prisma DM36, for example, the DD35 feeds its digital output to the I35's onboard ESS Sabre DAC while the Prisma module handles all streaming independently, giving the system two fully separate source paths in matched 35 Series hardware.
