The Degritter Mark II is a fully automatic ultrasonic record cleaning machine from Estonia. Insert a record, fill the tank with distilled water, and press start. The machine handles washing, filtering, and drying on its own, with no manual scrubbing or babysitting required.
Cleaning is done by four ultrasonic transducers, two on each side of the record, emitting a 120 to 125kHz frequency sweep that distributes cleaning energy evenly across the vinyl surface. Power Drive 2.0 adds Pulse Mode, switching the transducers rapidly on and off at high power to improve cavitation while keeping average power consumption low. ProHiFi is an authorised Degritter dealer in India.
An active filtration system continuously pumps cleaning water through a replaceable filter during the wash cycle, so dirt that comes off the record does not end up back on it. Record-safe temperature control monitors water temperature throughout and triggers automatic cooling if it rises too high. Smart Drying uses a flow of filtered air with adjustable speed and timing, letting the user balance faster drying against quieter operation. A second removable water tank supports an optional postwash rinse using clean water separate from the wash tank.
Anthony Kershaw at Audiophilia called the difference the Mark II made to a record nothing less than miraculous, noting that every click and pop disappeared along with audible gains in dynamics and soundstage. The Absolute Sound, TONEAudio, Hi-Fi Choice, and Sound Matters have all reviewed the Mark II positively, with Sound Matters calling it the best ultrasonic record cleaning machine for home use, bar none.

Why Consider the Degritter Mark II
The Mark II is the right choice for vinyl collectors who want their records to sound as good as the equipment playing them. Ultrasonic cleaning removes microscopic debris embedded deep in the groove that manual brushing and even vacuum-based cleaning systems cannot reach, and the Mark II's four-transducer Pulse Mode design does this fully automatically. Reviewers across The Absolute Sound, TONEAudio, and Audiophilia have independently described the audible improvement as immediate and significant: reduced surface noise, a blacker background, and better-defined dynamics and soundstage. For a serious vinyl collection in India, where dust and humidity can accelerate record contamination, the Mark II offers a one-button solution that protects the investment in both the records and the system playing them.
Ideal for
- Serious vinyl collectors wanting deep ultrasonic cleaning without manual effort
- Listeners who want measurably reduced surface noise and a blacker background
- Those restoring older or secondhand record collections to like-new playback quality
- Systems where any improvement in source quality is audible through high-end amplification
- Collectors in humid or dusty environments where records accumulate contamination quickly
