The Hegel H120 is a 75 watt integrated amplifier and streamer from Hegel Music Systems of Norway, built on the SoundEngine2 platform with Roon Ready certification, AirPlay, Spotify Connect, and UPnP streaming. It is discontinued and available while stocks last. Compared to the H95, it adds a balanced XLR analogue input and 15 additional watts of output power from a larger power supply designed for more dynamic performance and greater control of demanding loudspeakers. The DAC is designed entirely in-house, using the SynchroDAC and Hegel Optimized Clock technology developed in Hegel's reference products. Six digital inputs cover coaxial RCA, three Toslink optical, USB, and a network input. All inputs are configurable as fixed-level for home cinema and multi-room integration. A variable pre-out allows a subwoofer or additional amplifier to be connected. The H120 is software upgradeable over the network.

SoundEngine2 achieves a damping factor above 2,000, more than 20 times the industry average, delivering exceptional bass control and low distortion at any listening level. Hegel describes the mechanism as comparable to noise-cancelling headphones: the output is compared against the input in real time, distortion products are identified and inverted, and fed back into the output to cancel themselves.
