The Stage 200P is the 10 inch powered subwoofer of JBL's Stage 2 Series, designed and engineered at Harman's Northridge acoustic centre in California and sold as a single unit. It uses a front-firing high excursion 10 inch polycellulose ribbed cone woofer with dual rear-firing flared ports, driven by a built-in amplifier rated at 150 watts RMS and 300 watts peak. Response reaches down to 28 Hz, which is deep enough to add real weight to films and music that the Stage speakers cannot produce on their own.
It is built to drop into a system without fuss. The rear panel carries a variable low-pass crossover from 50 to 150 Hz, plus level, phase and auto power controls, so you can dial it in under any main speakers and let it switch itself to standby when idle. A line-level LFE input takes the dedicated subwoofer output from an AVR and bypasses the internal crossover, which is how most home theatres will connect it. Magnetically attached grilles keep the look clean, and adjustable floor spikes give it a stable footing on rugs or carpet.
This product is covered by the manufacturer's warranty through JBL's authorised distributor in India. [VERIFY: confirm exact warranty term for JBL Stage 200P under Harman India before publish.]
Even good tower speakers roll off before the lowest octave, and that octave is where a lot of a film's impact lives. The Stage 200P fills it in, reaching 28 Hz to give explosions, rumble and low synth lines the physical weight you feel rather than just hear. Because it is voiced to match the Stage range, it blends cleanly with 260F or 280F towers and the 245C centre rather than sounding like a bolted-on afterthought, and the flexible crossover means it works just as well under a compact bookshelf pair. The auto power and adjustable spikes make it easy to live with in a real room, and the LFE input means one cable from your AVR is all it takes to set up.
