JBL Stage 240B 2-Way Bookshelf Speakers

The Stage 240B is the smallest bookshelf model in JBL's Stage 2 Series, designed and engineered at Harman's Northridge acoustic centre in California and supplied as a pair. It is a two-way design with a 4.5 inch polycellulose ribbed cone woofer and a 1 inch anodised aluminium dome tweeter loaded into JBL's next generation HDI waveguide. The compact cabinet delivers real JBL bass from a footprint small enough to fit almost anywhere, which is what makes it such an easy speaker to place.

Its size is the whole appeal. As a main speaker it works in bedrooms, studies and smaller living rooms where a larger cabinet would dominate, and as a surround it tucks onto a shelf or a wall without drawing attention. The 240B is the only bookshelf in the Stage 2 range with built-in mounting, adding a wall bracket and an industry standard quarter-inch insert for aftermarket mounts, so it goes onto a wall or a stand cleanly. The HDI waveguide keeps the treble even off-axis, the rear-firing flared port controls port noise, and the cabinet keeps the line's premium touches including magnetically attached grilles and a floating front baffle.
