TCP Woofer Borrowing technology from Klipsch's Reference Premiere line, each R-40SA speaker utilizes spun-copper thermoformed crystalline polymer (TCP) for the 4" woofer. This aligns the cone at a steeper angle for better accuracy and transparency, along with smoother response. This is in addition to ribbing being added for better rigidity that ultimately results in less cone breakup at higher frequencies.
Solid Construction The smooth and sleek black textured wood grain vinyl exterior of each speaker is supported by a solid, reinforced 3/4" MDF with updated bracing. This robust construction helps reduce vibration. Not only are the frames durable, But even the vinyl exterior is also scratch-resistant.
