The McIntosh MA2375 is an all-analogue vacuum tube integrated amplifier delivering 75 watts per channel into 4, 8 or 16 ohms. Four KT88 output tubes and four 12AT7 drivers feed McIntosh Unity Coupled Circuit output transformers, which is why the rated power is identical across all three impedance taps rather than falling away as the load changes. The preamplifier section uses two 12AX7A and two 12AT7 tubes.
A configurable phono input handles both moving magnet and moving coil cartridges with adjustable loading from 100 ohms to 47 kilohms and capacitance from 50 to 400 pF. A 5-band analogue equaliser with bypass, a high-drive headphone output with HXD crossfeed, and Home Theater PassThru complete the feature set. Power Guard Screen Grid Sensor continuously monitors tube current and Sentry Monitor provides fuse-less short-circuit protection, both housed in a polished stainless steel dual-layer chassis with the dual blue watt meters.

Why Consider the McIntosh MA2375
The Unity Coupled output transformer is the reason this amplifier exists in the form it does. Because 75 watts is available into 4, 8 and 16 ohms alike, loudspeaker matching stops being a compromise, which is unusual for a tube amplifier and is normally where tube designs lose out to solid state.
