The Parasound ZoneMaster ZM4 is a four-channel stereo power amplifier delivering 120 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 150 watts into 4 or 2 ohms, designed for multi-room, multi-zone, and custom installation applications. Eight speaker connections across A and B outputs for each of the four channels allow up to eight speaker pairs to be driven from a single 1U chassis.
Each zone has its own independent 12V trigger input and audio sensing, so individual rooms can be switched on and off independently. A master 12V trigger input can bring all four zones on or off simultaneously. A bus input with looping outputs allows the ZM4 to receive a source signal and pass it downstream to additional amplifiers without a signal splitter. A speaker-level input enables integration with systems that have no dedicated preamplifier outputs. ProHiFi is an authorised Parasound dealer in India.
The Class AB input stage with premium Class D power stage keeps thermal output low during continuous multi-zone operation. Per-channel level controls, detachable speaker connectors accepting up to 12-gauge wire, mono mode for each zone, and short-circuit and overheat protection with front-panel indicators provide the full feature set for professional and residential installation work. The rack mount kit is included in the box. The power supply accepts 100-250V AC automatically, confirming India 230V mains compatibility.

Why Consider the Parasound ZoneMaster ZM4
The ZM4 is the right choice for multi-room and custom installation applications where four independent zones of stereo amplification need to be powered and controlled from a single 1U rack unit. The per-zone independent trigger and audio sensing allows each room to operate autonomously or all zones to be switched together via the master trigger input. The bus input with looping output, speaker-level input, and eight speaker connections make real-world multi-zone wiring straightforward without additional distribution hardware. Compared to running four separate stereo amplifiers, the ZM4 consolidates zone amplification into one thermally efficient chassis that draws only 60 watts at typical listening levels across all zones.
Ideal for
- Multi-room residential installations requiring four independent stereo zones
- Custom installations where per-zone 12V trigger and audio sensing control are essential
- Systems using the master trigger to power all zones simultaneously
- Installations without preamplifier outputs using the speaker-level input
- Home cinema surround and height channels requiring compact four-channel amplification
- Rack-mounted systems where one 1U chassis must replace four separate amplifiers
