The Rotel RAS-5000 is a streaming amplifier delivering 140 watts per channel into 8 ohms, rising to 220 watts into 4 ohms of Class AB power. Streaming coverage is broad: Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, internet radio, AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Roon and aptX HD Bluetooth are all supported, so the RAS-5000 works with whatever service a household already has an account with.
An HDMI eARC input lets the amplifier double as a television sound system, drawing on the same 220 watt output for movies and live sport as it uses for music. A 32-bit ESS DAC handles conversion for all digital sources, including coaxial and optical inputs and PC-USB up to 24-bit/384 kHz with MQA decoding.
